Published on December 15, 2015

To celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Disneyland Paris invites film fans of all ages to a special STAR WARS™ Night on 16 December for an unforgettable experience not to be missed. The exclusive treats in store that will excite Padawans of all ages have finally been revealed.

On Wednesday, 16 December 2015, Disneyland Park will celebrate The Force Awakens.  Discoveryland will be the stage for this exceptional evening, with life-size décor and the company of the famous intergalactic heroes. And the icing on the cake: The 560 happy few who booked the Cinema + Stay Pack option can attend the screening of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS in IMAX 3D (in English with subtitles) in the Gaumont Disney Village at the end of the evening.

Star Wars™ Night at Disneyland Park:

Starting at 8 p.m., an intergalactic tunnel will propel fans of the saga to Discoveryland, where they’ll be immersed in the sights and sounds of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS for an evening full of exciting surprises.  All participants are invited to choose sides and come to Disneyland Park in their favourite costumes.*

The heroes of the intergalactic saga will be there, and the Stormtroopers are ready and waiting. Guests can take advantage of the exclusive chance to meet Darth Vader, R2-D2 and Chewbacca in person.

Fan communities will also be at the party. A large Imperial March made up of 60 characters, including The 501st Legion French Garrison, will be on patrol and will have a few surprises up their sleeves.

A special talk will be held at Discoveryland Theatre. Patrice Girod, Star Wars™ expert for over 30 years, will welcome Jeremy Bulloch (who plays the role of Boba Fett, the famous bounty hunter), Robert Watts (the renowned producer of Star Wars™ and Indiana Jones) and Robert Blalack (who won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects). They’ll share their most amazing adventures and experiences from that galaxy far, far away…

For thrills, a ride aboard a StarSpeeder 3000 is highly recommended! The unmissable Star Tours will take guests soaring towards the Forest Moon of Endor before falling into the tractor beam of an Imperial Class Star Destroyer. Guests will also witness an explosive battle between the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire.

Jedi menus will be served at Videopolis®, decorated in the colours of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. Burger lovers can enjoy the Darth Vader burger, amongst other options. Fans can also build on their collections with limited edition items available from the Star Traders shop.

Bring your lightsaber for the massive DJ Dance Party. Temporary bars will be opened specially in Discoveryland for sipping on cocktails in the colours of the saga.

And for the finale, an intergalactic sound and light show will awaken the Force in each of us. But beware the Dark Side… Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers may have something else in store for the last act of the evening!

Fans can expect lots of other surprises besides. Discoveryland rides such as Space Mountain: Mission 2, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and Autopia will be opened specially for those privileged few attending STAR WARS™ Night.  An official Star Wars™ make-up studio will also be available free of charge. Everything is in place for a totally immersive experience. And by the way… May the Force be with you
