On your marks… get set for the second edition of the Disneyland Paris Val d’Europe Half-Marathon Weekend, which will take place from 21st–24th September 2017. There will be plenty of new features for even more fun, including a whole new collection of race medals, which we’re delighted to unveil!

First up we have the runDisney Kids Races medallion, featuring Mickey Mouse! Followed by the 5K medal, inspired by everyone’s favourite maître d’, Lumière from “Beauty and the Beast.”

Flora, Fauna and Merryweather – the three fairy godmothers from “Sleeping Beauty” – can be seen flying around the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park on the inaugural 10K medal.

Set against a dazzling sapphire blue backdrop, the half marathon medal pays tribute to the 25th anniversary of Disneyland Paris and features everyone’s favourite pal, Mickey Mouse, running past Sleeping Beauty Castle, a popular landmark for runners at the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon.

New to the race weekend this year is the Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo Challenge and runners who complete both the 10K and half marathon will receive a third medal, which features Cinderella’s Coach and the Fairy Godmother.

Lastly, we have the Castle to Château Challenge medal. Runners who complete the half marathon at Disneyland Paris and a runDisney half marathon or marathon at Disneyland California Resort or Walt Disney World Resort in the same calendar year will be awarded this special piece of bling.

Disneyland Paris – Val d’Europe Half Marathon Weekend is sure to be a truly magical experience straight out of a fairy tale as Disneyland Paris continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

About the Disneyland Paris Val d’Europe Half Marathon Weekend 2017 – 21st to 24th September 2017

Following the great success of the first edition in 2016 and to mark the 25th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris, discover a varied programme of events guaranteeing four days of fun and sport. More than a conventional race, runDisney organizes an event that combines sport and entertainment for a weekend of fitness and fun. Each of the races will allow participants to experience magical moments, in the unique environment of the Disney Parks, with many surprises along the way.

The weekend will be organized with the support of runDisney and its successful 21 years’ experience in staging running events at US Disney theme parks. New kids races of 100m 200m and 1k, a 5K family race, a 10k race, a half marathon, plus several family fun experiences such as a Health and Fitness Expo and a Friday night private party will make up the fun-filled agenda for the second edition of the Disneyland Paris Val D’Europe Half-Marathon Weekend.

British athlete and ladies marathon world record holder Paula Radcliffe and Michäel Jérémiasz, flag-bearer for the French team at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games, will be acting as ambassadors for the Disneyland Paris Val D’Europe Half Marathon Weekend – joining the thousands of runners participating in this thrilling event in the Disney Parks. This is the second year that Paula Radcliffe will be involved, having brought her children along to the first edition back in 2016.
