Walt Disney Imagineering Paris brought Disney Adventure World to life alongside nearly 400 artisans and European partners whose exceptional craftsmanship, technical expertise, and unique savoir-faire have been instrumental. From shipbuilders to iron forgers, from skilled sculptures to royal painters, they all represent an extraordinary showcase of craftsmanship that defines this remarkable creative adventure.
ARCACHON (FRANCE)
The floating bases for the three majestic longships in Célébration à Arendelle were developed in collaboration with Couach Construction Navale, a renowned French shipbuilder with over 120 years of expertise, based in the heart of the Arcachon. This project marks the first collaboration between Europe’s leading tourist destination and a workshop celebrated for its exacting craftsmanship standards, bringing together more than 250 highly skilled artisans.
DIJON (FRANCE)
The exterior decoration of Kristoff’s boat in the new show A Celebration in Arendelle was entrusted to the artisans of Prelud, a workshop located near Dijon since 1985 and a long‑standing partner of Disneyland Paris. Expert sculptors, painters and carpenters worked through several layers over a period of more than six months —from the arrival of the floating base to the boat’s launch in the fjord of Arendelle— showcasing a collaborative, fully handcrafted approach across multiple artistic traditions.
NETHERLANDS
Since 1653, Royal Delft has perpetuated the art of Delft Blue, with each plate hand‑painted using a unique artisanal process. This centuries‑old craft transforms cobalt into a mesmerising blue that echoes the enchanted world of our Disney Princesses. Proud to bear the “Royal” designation, the company is an official purveyor to the Dutch Royal Family—notably supplying the 300‑piece table service used at state banquets.
UNITED KINGDOM
Working alongside Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, the craftsmen at UK Loco Ltd, a leading creative engineering firm in the UK, brought the Arendelle Castle to life, drawing on more than a century of creative expertise. Building on twenty years of collaboration, Disneyland Paris and UK Loco Ltd have delivered landmark projects including The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Toy Story Playland, Crush’s Coaster and Ratatouille: L’AventureTotalement Toquée de Rémy, and more recently the impressive Quinjet at Avengers Campus.
STRASBOURG (FRANCE)
For seven generations, the Schaffner workshops have shaped metal with mastery born of fire and forge.An exceptional Alsatian craftsmanship that has given rise to the majestic entrance canopy of The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge. Founded in the early 19th century, this family firm has passed down a unique expertise through the decades, fueled by a passion for metalwork, fire and forging. It is the meeting of this artisanal know‑how with the creativity of the teams at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris that brought this striking structure to life, welcoming guests with elegance.
BORDEAUX (FRANCE)
In partnership with Dronisos, official technology provider since 2022, Disneyland Paris pushes boundaries with new aerial and aquatic drones, nicknamed “ducks”, designed for Cascade of Lights. A spectacular innovation that brings the magic of light closer to guests than ever before.
