Nestled in the heart of Disneyland Hotel’s rose garden lies a unique rose, whose fragrance evokes the refined atmosphere of this hotel where the most enchanting Disney stories come to life: the “Rose au Bois Dormant.” Discover in detail the story behind its creation, in collaboration with one of the oldest rose developers in France.

Created just for Disneyland Hotel, the birth of the Rose au Bois Dormant dates back more than a year and a half before the hotel’s reopening in 2024. It stands out for its subtle and delicate fragrance evoking sophistication, and its color reminiscent of the iconic façade of the hotel. Its creation is the result of a joint effort between the Hotels Product Development and Horticulture teams, who partnered with the Roseraie Ducher, established near Lyon in 1845.

“We chose to collaborate with the Roseraie Ducher because it is one of the oldest and most renowned rose developers in France. Their family expertise, passed down through generations, has stood the test of time around the world. After several rounds of research and discussions, it became clear that the Roseraie Ducher was the ideal partner to create this unique rose,” said Hélène Chaupin, Senior Manager of Hotels Product Development.
