At the place where dreams come true, excitement arrives even before setting foot in Disney parks – as soon as the guest parking lot. With each lane covered with thousands of solar panels supported by structures adorned with medallions celebrating the most iconic Disney characters, the parking lot immerses guests in the magical world of Disneyland Paris from the moment they step out of their vehicles.
Attention to detail is deeply rooted in Disneyland Paris’ identity. Several weeks ago, a new touch of magic was added to the pathways leading to Disney Village and the park entrance, which now feature 23 shining stars preceded by a Mickey Mouse head silhouette engraved in the floor as a nod to Walt Disney’s famous quote “[…] It was all started by a mouse.” Even the number of stars was carefully chosen – as The Walt Disney Company was created in 1923, this all-new setting pays a subtle homage to Disney’s legacy. In the guest parking lot, every detail tells a story!

Before unveiling its enchanting new look, the parking lot underwent a major transformation, becoming home to one of Europe’s largest solar canopy plants. Made up of more than 80,000 panels covering a total of 11,200 parking spots, this plant contributes to enhancing the guest experience by providing shade and shelter from direct sunlight, rain, or snow. Producing 36 GWh per year – the equivalent of approximately 17% of the resort’s electricity consumption – the solar plant stands as a key asset in supporting Disneyland Paris’ environmental strategy. And the eco-friendly changes don’t stop there, as the parking lot has also been equipped with more than 500 electric vehicle charging stations.
