On October 21, 2025, during the TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) SATE North America event, Imagineer Beth Clapperton, who has worked on major developments at Disneyland Paris for over thirty years, will be honored with the title of TEA Master. This prestigious title celebrates professionals in the entertainment industry, whose expertise and passion brought significant advances in their field, while inspiring others around them thanks to their high standards and work ethics.
In 2025, 7 new individuals will be named TEA Masters of Their Craft, joining an incredible group of only 42 other professionals who have earned this prestigious recognition. To qualify as a Master, the professional must have built a body of work over at least 20 years that includes frequently working on significant and/or signature projects, leading to the creation and execution of global experiences, attractions, events, spectaculars, rides, and shows. TEA Masters have made lasting contributions to their field through their innovation, leadership, expertise, and artistic vision.
Among these professionals, the Themed Entertainment Association has recognized Beth Clapperton for her outstanding work by awarding her this globally recognized status. Beth joined Walt Disney Imagineering in 1990, during the construction of the very first Disneyland Park in Paris where she worked as a Show Set Designer and Production Designer until park opening in 1992. In 1995 she became Art Director, a position that led her to oversee the creation of increasingly ambitious and immersive areas and attractions, such as Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast in 2006, Toon Studio in 2007 and Ratatouille: The Adventure in 2014, the first attraction based on the beloved Disney-Pixar movie. She also supervised the major Enhancement Experience Program that added new magic to classic attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Phantom Manor. Beth most recently was Creative Director for Avengers Campus and was responsible for ensuring creative vision through all project phases. She is currently the Executive Creative Director for the world’s first immersive themed area inspired by the classic animated film The Lion King, that is under construction at Disney Adventure World, the new name of Walt Disney Studios Park starting in spring 2026.
This TEA Master title is a well-deserved global recognition for the incredible work Beth Clapperton has done over the past 30 years. She will receive this award on October 21, 2025, during the ceremony at Buena Park, California.
