On Saturday, 31 January 2026, a brand-new shopping experience will open its doors just a few steps from The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ attraction. Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering Paris in collaboration with the Design & Delivery teams, this location will create a seamless link between the glamorous atmosphere of World Premiere Plaza and the lush, plant-filled scenery of Adventure Way.
As is often the case, it all began with a story. “We designed this place so that it would be thematically consistent with World Premiere Plaza, while also fitting naturally with Adventure Way, as it sits right at the junction between the two,” explains Sébastien Dhainaut, Set Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris. “A flower shop naturally belongs in a theatre district, and it was also very common to find them near parks, as it was very fashionable at the time to stroll around carrying bouquets of flowers.”
The structure used to create this new retail location has been fully enclosed and reworked to adopt a Spanish Revival aesthetic. Its warm-coloured roof tiles blend harmoniously with the nearby Hollywood Tower Hotel, located just a few steps from the shop. One of the façade walls is adorned with a trompe-l’oeil mural featuring Art Deco-inspired shapes, while the bluish green mosaic tiles on the pediment echo the colours of the surrounding streetlamps and the structures found along Adventure Way. Inspired by flower shops of the 1930s, the shop’s exterior features fragrant plants such as cypress trees, Mexican orange blossom and lavender. True to the florists of that era, the rear of the shop has been intentionally given a more weathered appearance, representing the flower delivery area as indicated by the inscription painted on the wall, which would naturally have been less well maintained than the customer-facing entrance.
Inside, guests will enjoy a warm atmosphere inspired by the 1930s: from slightly aged limewashed walls and red-tinted wooden beams to opaline and glass light fittings, every detail has been carefully designed to create an elegant boutique that feels perfectly at home in this glamorous theatre district.
On the shelves, guests will find precious Oriental vases, which were highly fashionable in 1930s California, as well as beautiful lilies, peonies and pale-petalled roses, alongside essential florist tools such as terracotta pots and watering cans. Among other period decorative elements, a stunning poster illustrating the language of flowers hangs on the wall. To also create a connection between this florist and the gardens and lake of Adventure Way, a charming nod to children’s leisure activities in parks of the last century has been incorporated, with a few miniature wooden sailing boats displayed on the top of some shelves.
Although the florist now has new owners, it continues to celebrate its past through several photographs of the three sisters who originally opened the shop in old Hollywood, as well as newspaper cuttings highlighting their finest creations – one of which mentions a magnificent bouquet delivered to The Hollywood Tower Hotel shortly before it was struck by tragic events…
This new boutique, imagined by Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, will welcome guests from 31 January 2026, adding a new retail location to World Premiere Plaza.
