On 29 March 2026, the gates of World of Frozen opened to guests at Disney Adventure World, allowing them to explore the magnificent Kingdom of Arendelle as depicted in the Frozen animated films. The teams at Walt Disney Imagineering spent years perfecting every detail to enhance immersion in this universe, whose popularity has remained unwavering since 2013. Here is a closer look at some of the iconic locations in World of Frozen that are directly inspired by the films.

La Tour deThe Clock Tower
For World of Frozen, the Clock Tower has been designed both as the entrance to the Frozen Ever After attraction and as the visual magnet of this immersive world, visible even from the main avenue of Adventure Way. This charming building references the sequence “Love Is an Open Door” from Frozen, later revisited with the addition of wooden statues of Anna and Elsa in the short film Frozen Fever (2015). A delightful detail: when the clock strikes the hour, it chimes the melody of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”.

Arendelle Castle
The royal residence of Anna and Elsa stands on the shores of the fjord, slightly set back from the village. Its architecture is largely inspired by stave churches – traditional Norwegian wooden churches – particularly Borgund Stave Church, a renowned historic monument dating back to the 12th century.

The Portrait Gallery at Rencontre Royale
Upon entering Rencontre Royale, guests are transported into Arendelle Castle, where keen observers will easily recognise many of the paintings displayed in the entrance hall. Several appear in the “For the First Time in Forever” sequence from Frozen (including one referencing The Swing by Jean-Honoré Fragonard), as well as in “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”, which features a portrait of Joan of Arc. The two family portraits on either side of the room are inspired by the “Into the Unknown” sequence in Frozen II.

Elsa’s Ice Palace
Near the snowy summit of the North Mountain, Elsa’s Ice Palace overlooks the Kingdom of Arendelle. Its dazzling blue towers, set with more than 300 crystals, sparkle both by day and by night.

Arendelle Lighthouse
Located slightly away from the village of Arendelle, the lighthouse guarding the entrance to the fjord closely resembles the one seen in Frozen, particularly in the “Love Is an Open Door” sequence.

Anna’s Boat
A final detail for the most observant guests: one of the boats in Arendelle harbour represents the small vessel into which Anna falls when she first meets Hans in Frozen.
