On 1st December 2010, the French theater release of Tangled, the Disney Animated classic directed by Byron Howard and Nathan Greno, marked a great return to adventures inspired by European fairy tales. For fifteen years, the film has enjoyed unwavering success, and now its iconic long-haired heroine will be celebrated with her own attraction at Disneyland® Paris: Raiponce Tangled Spin, opening on 29 March 2026.
This family-friendly attraction will allow guests of all ages to spin around in a gondola, underneath a lantern-filled sky inspired by the film’s famous scene and accompanied by new orchestrations of ‘I See the Light’ and ‘Kingdom Dance.’
“In the movie, the melody of ‘I See The Light’ is more of a romantic ballad, so we reinterpreted it for the attraction to give it a livelier rhythm, like a waltz, to swirl our guests,” explains Andy Martin, Creative Director of Raiponce Tangled Spin.
The attraction is filled with delightful references to Tangled: a beautiful ceiling fresco painted by Rapunzel herself, with her art materials displayed in the queue, and a charming weathervane of Pascal, her trusty chameleon, sitting proudly on the roof. Mandy Moore, the original voice of Rapunzel, has reprised her role to record the attraction’s welcome messages and safety instructions, bringing an extra layer of authenticity to the experience.
When it opens, Raiponce Tangled Spin will be a wonderful addition to Disney Adventure World, perfectly integrated into the romantic, leafy surroundings of Adventure Way. Join us on 29 March 2026 to experience the Lantern Festival!
