For 33 years, Disneyland Paris’s been committed to the Fondation des Hôpitaux by supporting the Pièces Jaunes campaign. On January 13-14, 300 hospitalized children and teenagers, along with their families, were invited to experience two days filled with joy, emotion and enchantment at the heart of the Disney Parks, accompanied throughout their stay by more than 100 dedicated Disney VoluntEARS.
Travelling from hospitals across the Paris region, Marseille, Lille and Dieppe, guests enjoyed a stay specially designed to offer them a true magical escape. Throughout their visit, children and families experienced iconic shows, must‑see attractions and memorable encounters with Disney Characters. They were also treated to an exclusive performance of The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands, a highlight that concluded with a vibrant group photo capturing smiles around the crowd. In addition, they discovered some of the destination’s most emblematic locations, including a privileged visit inside Sleeping Beauty Castle, before sharing a warm and festive moment together at Cowboy Cookout.
This year’s edition was also marked by the presence of Brigitte Macron, President of the Fondation des Hôpitaux, and Didier Deschamps, godfather of the Pièces Jaunes campaign, who met with families alongside Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris. Several artists such as Jungeli, Jessy Matador, Les Petits Soleils and Superbus joined the event, offering special moments filled with music and surprises.
“Since the creation of Disneyland Paris 34 years ago, we have had the honor and privilege of being partners in this exceptional initiative. Bringing moments of joy, wonder, and escapism to hospitalized children lies at the heart of our mission at Disneyland Paris and gives full meaning to our commitment to this operation.” said Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris, acknowledging the commitment and cooperation wih the Fondation des Hôpitaux.
A solidarity campaign mobilizing guests and Cast Members
From January 7 to February 7, Disneyland Paris invites its guests to support the Pièces Jaunes campaign through a limited‑edition collection — featuring pins, Minnie ears, socks and tote bags — with all proceeds donated to the Fondation des Hôpitaux. This initiative complements the donation of coins thrown into the park’s fountains, as well as contributions made by Cast Members through the famous Pièces Jaunes piggy banks located backstage.
On January 7, to mark the launch of this year’s Pièces Jaunes campaign, Disney Characters and Disney VoluntEARS visited Bayonne Hospital to bring joy to hospitalized children, illustrating Disneyland Paris’ ongoing commitment.
A longstanding commitment to hospitalized children
For more than three decades, Disneyland Paris has supported the Fondation des Hôpitaux through the Pièces Jaunes campaign, whose mission continues to evolve to meet the needs of hospitals. Through these initiatives, Disneyland Paris remains dedicated to bringing comfort, hope and moments of happiness to children and families who need it most. Since 1991, more than 40,000 hospitalized children have received visits from Disney Characters and Disney VoluntEARS.
